Submissions Are Open for the IADC Southeast Asia Chapter’s 2025 Safety Awards

The IADC Southeast Asia Chapter (SEAC) recently announced the official call for submissions for the 4th annual IADC SEAC 2025 Safety Awards.

2025 Safety Awards Program Update

The Chapter has issued an updated Safety Awards Program for 2025. This year, the SEAC is proud to relaunch the “Best Safety Initiatives Awards” in place of the previous “Best Sustainability Awards” category.

All valued member companies are invited to showcase their commitment to safety excellence by submitting nominations for the following categories:

  • Best Statistical Safety Performance Award (Drilling Contractor Members)
    • Best Recordable Incident Rates: 2 awards for Companies (1x Offshore, 1x Onshore) and 2 awards for Individual Units (1x Offshore, 1x Onshore).
    • Recognition for Years Recordable Incident Free: 2 awards (1x Offshore, 1x Onshore).
  • Best Safety Initiatives – All Members
    • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be issued for the most impactful safety initiatives.

Submission Guidelines

Please refer to the updated IADC SEAC 2025 Safety Awards Guidance & Requirements (revised as of January 2026).

  • Deadline: Submissions must be received on or before close of business Friday 13 February 2026.
  • How to Submit: Please use the dedicated excel spreadsheet and email your entries to the IADC SEAC Leadership Committee (via Chit Hlaing) at chit.hlaing@iadc.org.

Save the Date: Awards Gala Presentation

Please mark your calendars for the SEAC 2025 Safety Awards Gala Presentation:

  • Date: Evening of 1 April 2026
  • Context: Following the second day of the OTC Asia Conference & Exhibition (31 March – 2 April)
  • Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Specific venue and gala program details to follow)
