IADC Members Meet with Members of Congress on Capitol Hill

On 9-11 September, a delegation of 21 IADC Members and personnel journeyed to Washington, D.C., to make the voice of the drilling industry heard on Capitol Hill. Their mission was to foster open dialogue, strengthen industry relationships, and ensure our elected leaders understand the critical role of the oil and gas industry.

Over the course of two jam-packed days, this passionate group met with 21 Members of Congress. On Tuesday, they discussed legislative issues and shared the latest industry insights and challenges with 11 representatives.

On Wednesday, the group met with 10 different legislators to hear about their reelection efforts and perspectives on key races. DrillersPAC, IADC’s political action committee, presented checks to each of these Members of Congress to show the industry’s support and to thank them for advocating on our behalf.

This can be achieved by communicating with regulators to improve regulatory practices and proactively educating regulatory and legislative bodies. IADC serves as a unified voice for the global drilling industry, facilitating impactful advocacy across the growing number of countries where drilling operations take place.
