University of Boumerdes Hosts Competition, Participates in National Day of the Nationalization of Hydrocarbons

Next Horizon 1.0 Competition

The IADC University of Boumerdes Student Chapter recently concluded their mentoring program, titled Skill Forge, which ran for a period of 3 months from January through March.

The program was structured into 3 main parts:

An introduction to the legacy and history of IADC
A comprehensive Hard Skills and Soft Skills School
An exploration of the Drilling Industry

As a final component of the program, the Chapter organized an internal competition called Next Horizon 1.0. The competition was designed to encourage teamwork and allow participants to apply the skills they acquired during the program, both from their mentors and from the Chapter’s internal training sessions.

National Day of the Nationalization of Hydrocarbons

The National Day of the Nationalization of Hydrocarbons event was organized by the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA), in collaboration with the University of Boumerdes. It took place at the historic Conference Hall in Boumerdes. The IADC University of Boumerdes Student Chapter was invited to participate and set up an exhibition stand to showcase the Chapter’s projects and activities. The event brought together both students and industry professionals, creating a valuable space for exchange and networking.
