Coffee & Connect

On 9 April, the IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter (SAPC) hosted a casual catch-up for the local community. The Coffee & Connect event was a simple but meaningful reminder of the strength of the community, a space to step away from the day-to-day, share conversations, and support each other.

HR Workgroup Meeting

The recently-revived IADC SAPC HR Workgroup held a meeting hosted at the Valaris office in Dubai. The energy was clear from the start, with great ideas shared on how, as an industry, we can come together to tackle common challenges, perfectly aligned with the Chapter’s mantra: Meet, Share, and Make a Difference.

Thank you to Sean Sullivan for stepping into the role of HR Workgroup Chair, alongside Deepti T. as Vice Chair. Thanks, as well, to Ash Anderson, Workgroup Coordinator, for helping get the group back up and running.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Charter 

The SAPC recently launched the new IADC SAPC Mental Health & Wellbeing Charter, developed in collaboration with The LightHouse Arabia. A new IADC SAPC Mental Health website was published as part of this initiative. 

On LinkedIn, the Chapter expresses, 

“A practical step towards stronger support systems and workplaces where mental health and wellbeing matter just as much as physical safety. Explore the resources, review The Charter, and consider adopting its principles.”
