Matt Isbell, SPE Distinguished Lecturer, Presents to IADC UT Student Chapter in Austin

On 19 November, Matt Isbell, as a part of his SPE Distinguished Lecturer series, presented “A Framework Delivers Multiparty Technologies Enhancing Drilling Operations Control” to IADC and SPE Student Chapter members at the University of Texas in Austin.

Matt is a drilling system subject matter expert with worldwide experience. Recently retired as a Senior Drilling Engineering Advisor with the Wells Team at Hess Corporation, Matt currently focuses on connecting well construction roles with tools and processes to leverage digital drilling data and engineering for improved outcomes. A 1988 BSME graduate from The University of Texas at Austin, he serves on the SPE Forum Implementation Committee and chairs both the IADC Drilling Engineers Committee and SPE Drilling and Wells Interoperability Group Advisory Board.

Mike Harris, IADC Student Chapter Liaison, introduced Matt to the 60 students in attendance. The presentation, which was well received and appreciated, was recorded and is available below.
