The IADC IIT(ISM) Student Chapter recently organized a hybrid workshop in conjunction with the SPE Student Chapter and the Department of Petroleum Engineering, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.
The event, titled “From Core to Reservoir: Workshop on Special Core Analysis (SCAL),” aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of advanced core analysis techniques and their applications in reservoir characterization and simulation.
The two-day workshop combined theoretical insights with practical demonstrations, enabling students to connect laboratory-scale measurements to field-scale reservoir performance. Day 1 concluded with an interactive quiz event, PetroQuest, which saw enthusiastic participation from 10+ teams.
Nearly 100 students participated in this enlightening and technically rich workshop experience. Thank you to everyone who attended, and special thanks to the speakers who delivered valuable insights during the workshop.
