The IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter (SAPC) held its Q3 meeting in Doha, with strong turnout from new and Doha-based Members. The turnout reinforces the chapter’s plan to return to Qatar annually.
Wayne Martin of Allrig shared DROPS inspection data showing many findings are routine maintenance issues. That prompted a review of how inspection duties are split between crews and scheduled checks. Sean Stewart of Apave explained how gaming adds competition to training and improves retention. Katherine Verrier-Fréchette of EY showed how organizations of any size can plan for unpredictable disruptions.
Thanks to Allrig and Conntrak Catering Services for their support, and to the chapter committee for organizing the meeting.
The chapter’s final meeting of 2026 will be held Friday, 6 November, at Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort & Spa in Dubai. The afternoon will include industry presentations, chapter and workgroup updates, networking, and IADC-SAPC Committee elections. The call for abstracts is still open, and companies interested in sponsorship are encouraged to get in touch.
Registration is open exclusively to IADC-SAPC members. If you have not received your registration invitation, please contact admin@sapc-iadc.org.
