On 23rd October, the 2nd annual IADC Young Professionals Summit took place at the Transocean office in Houston. This one-day event provided opportunities for young professionals to connect with peers, learn from industry leaders, and discuss real-world challenges with others who understand their journey.
Many topics were covered, including:

- Navigating oil & gas industry cycles
- Mental health & wellness resources
- Financial planning insights
- Work-life balance strategies
- AI’s industry implications
- Current trends & challenges
Special thanks to the keynote speakers. John Sanclemente with Chevron delivered a keynote from the operator’s perspective, and Andy Hendricks with Patterson-UTI shared from the contractor’s perspective.
In addition to a robust informational program, there were also opportunities for networking and socializing. A game of “networking bingo” was played throughout the day, where attendees gathered signatures of others who matched the descriptions within the bingo squares. During lunch, each table formed a team to compete in a game of industry trivia consisting of technical, pop-culture, and IADC-related content.
