The Drilling Engineers Committee (DEC) is asking for industry input for their Q3 Tech Forum. Established to advance new technology related to drilling wells, the DEC Tech Forum opens the event to foster a collaborative dialogue across regions and specialties.
The IADC Drilling Engineers Committee will hold its Q3 Technology Forum on 29 September 2021 under the theme “Performance Limiters.”
Our industry has made significant changes over the years regarding drilling performance improvement. Gaining insight and understanding of our performance limiters enables continued technological advancements. Various step change offerings will be needed to overcome these obstacles as we progress and improve overall drilling excellence.
What performance limiters or new challenges present themselves today? What drilling competencies do we need to progress drilling performance? What engineered solutions do we need for optimal drilling efficiency?
Abstracts are invited for presentations to address these questions at the IADC Drilling Engineers Committee’s Q3 Technology Forum. Event will be a hybrid event from 08:30am to noon Houston time on 29 September 2021. Limited seating is available at Patterson-UTI’s Houston office. Registration will still be available for virtual attendees.
Deadline for abstract submission is Friday, 20 August.
