The IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter (SAPC) continues to be a driving force for industry collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the region. Through its dedication to organizing impactful forums and gatherings, the Chapter has recently created another lineup of meaningful opportunities for Members.
23 February: Padel Tournament – The SAPC hosted its inaugural padel tournament, bringing opportunity for camaraderie, competition, and sportsmanship.
28 February: Q1 Chapter Meeting – 100+ professionals gathered to hear valuable insights from guest speakers on the topic of Security & Risk Management. Additionally, 7 students from Heriot-Watt University attended and participated in the discussions.
16 March: Desert Clean-Up – SAPC Members and their families came together for an impactful desert clean-up, making a real difference for the environment and local wildlife.
21 March: Iftar Meal Distribution – Committee Members volunteered their time to help serve over 5,000 Iftar meals to hard-working laborers. Due to Members’ generosity during the Desert Clean-up event, the SAPC was able to provide 550 Iftar meals for laborers in the Jebel Ali camps.
The Chapter also recently announced its partnership with ATPI to take a carbon-neutral approach to Chapter meetings. According to Wayne Bauer, Chairman of the SAPC:
