IADC is pleased to welcome the Liberian Registry as a new IADC Member. Established in 1948, the Liberian Registry is the world’s largest maritime flag state organization by total vessel tonnage. It currently accounts for the registration of 17% of the world’s offshore drilling fleet.
With assistance from key International Maritime Organization (IMO) country member partners, such as the Liberian Registry, IADC is able to represent and support international offshore activities that bolster global energy efforts. IADC has retained its non-governmental organization (NGO) observer status with the IMO since 1975.
With Liberia joining the Marshall Islands and Panama as existing IADC Member flag states, IADC is well-positioned to promote safety and efficiency in the global offshore industry. This partnership further strengthens our offshore and maritime advocacy capabilities, adding valuable expertise to address current energy challenges and opportunities.
