IADC organized a Washington, D.C. Fly-In on 14-16 September, bringing 16 participants to Capitol Hill to advocate for the drilling industry. The delegation included representatives from five offshore companies, four onshore companies and three drilling services companies.
On the first day, the group held 10 bipartisan legislative meetings with Members of Congress. Discussions centered on the repeal of tariffs, regulatory changes and the uncertainty they create for operators, and the need for permitting reform.
Day two brought seven bipartisan campaign meetings, presenting a total of $17,500 in DrillersPAC contributions to Members of Congress and one candidate who support the drilling industry.
Fly-ins remain one of IADC’s most direct opportunities to put member voices in front of lawmakers. Thank you to all of the participants for their time and commitment to advancing the industry’s priorities in Washington.
