On August 25th, IADC attended Transocean’s benefit event honoring Wesley Hunt, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 38th Congressional District.
As a Houston native, Congressman Hunt thanked attendees for the opportunity to serve his district. He emphasized his commitment to supporting U.S. energy industries, with particular interest in ensuring reasonable policies that benefit the hydrocarbon sector.
Rep. Hunt praised the upstream industry’s technological advances over the past decade. He highlighted the industry’s innovation and ability to meet energy demands while upholding a well-earned social license to operate.
The Congressman also addressed workforce development needs. He shared his commitment to promoting federal measures that give industry leaders flexibility and incentives to build U.S. workforce capacity.
