IADC DrillersPAC Visits with Chairman of the Congressional Oil & Gas Caucus

L to R: Jim Rocco (IADC), US Representative Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX-34), & Jay Niccum (Patterson-UTI)

On 13 February, the office of US Representative Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX-34) hosted his downtown Houston campaign luncheon. Attending on behalf of IADC’s Political Action Committee, DrillersPAC, were Jay Niccum with Patterson-UTI and Jim Rocco with IADC. Along with other industry stakeholders and interest groups, DrillersPAC was able to engage in a variety of policy and legislative discussions, expressing concerns and recognizing challenges facing oil and gas and other industries’ pursuits.

Congressman Gonzalez occupies a key position in the legislature as Chairman of the Congressional Oil & Gas Caucus. As a uniquely pro-energy Democratic member of the House, he aims to bring clarity and a rational oil and gas Texas perspective to Washington, DC. His 34th Texas Congressional District is key to maintaining a robust infrastructure through which hydrocarbons are transported domestically and to markets abroad. Having produced a record 2 billion barrels in 2024, according to the Railroad Commission of Texas, the state and Congressman Gonzalez’s district is a vital component that directly contributes to the vitality of the US economy while availing oil and gas supplies for a global demand.

DrillersPAC is pleased to support Mr. Gonzalez in his continued service to the people of the 34th Congressional District of Texas and his pursuit of an inclusive energy strategy in Washington, DC.
