The IADC Permian Basin Chapter hosted the 2024 Permian Basin Contractor Forum on 17 April at the Green Tree Country Club in Midland, Texas. This was the Chapter’s third time hosting this annual event, which sells out every year. Managing representatives from drilling companies operating their rigs in the region came together to discuss their views on a variety of topics, including but not limited to:
- New emerging rig technologies
- Methods for improving safety on the rig
- Supply chain issues
- Workforce shortages
- Capital constraints
- Market activity outlook
The Chapter’s next event is the 35th Annual IADC Permian Basin Golf Tournament, which will take place on 7 May in Midland, Texas.
