Micah Garrison is VP of Supply Chain Management at Patterson-UTI Energy, a role he’s held since 2022. His energy industry career also spans leadership positions at Venture Global LNG, Repsol, Talisman Energy, Weatherford, and Schlumberger.

A native Texan, Micah served as a US Army Infantry Squad Leader from 1999 to 2005, deploying to Germany, Kosovo, Iraq, and the US, and earning two Purple Heart Medals and two Bronze Star Medals, one with Valor device.

Micah holds a B.S. in Space Sciences, an MBA, and a recently completed Doctoral degree from the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business, focused on workforce proficiency in Generative AI tools. He spends his free time with family, cooking, brewing, and indulging his inner nerd.

General Committee meetings are open to participants from all categories of IADC membership. The Chairman may invite non-members to attend when it furthers the interests of the Committee. At the discretion of the Chairman and IADC staff, the meeting or portions of the meeting may be exclusively reserved for drilling contractor members. Meetings will be held at such times and locations as may be selected by the Chairman with the advice of the Committee. For any questions, please contact the IADC Committee Coordinator. IADC Technical Committee meetings are not open to the Press.
