IADC Geothermal Committee Meeting

Agenda, Geothermal Committee Meeting, Thursday 17th September 

 

  1. Formalities (new members, past minutes, today’s agenda)
  2. Updates from the committee chair (Doug).
  3. Updates from the individual guideline work groups (work groups).
  4. Status, work on model contracts for geothermal drilling (Bruce & Antoine).
  5. Formal decision on the naming of the guideline. The current proposal is “Geothermal Well Construction Guideline” (all – discussion moderated by Doug).
  6. Brainstorm session on: what are the topics the committee should focus on following publication of the guideline (all).
  7. Feedback on industry meetings held since last committee meeting (all).
  8. Upcoming industry meetings and conferences outside IADC’s portfolio (all).
  9. AOB, including
    • formal creation of API Task Group
    • possible wishes for a workshop in conjunction with the November IADC conference
    • GRMS final review
    • new SPE geothermal initiative
    • other IADC news

General Committee meetings are open to participants from all categories of IADC membership. The Chairman may invite non-members to attend when it furthers the interests of the Committee. At the discretion of the Chairman and IADC staff, the meeting or portions of the meeting may be exclusively reserved for drilling contractor members. Meetings will be held at such times and locations as may be selected by the Chairman with the advice of the Committee. For any questions, please contact the IADC Committee Coordinator. IADC Technical Committee meetings are not open to the Press.
