IADC DEC Q 1 2024 Tech Forum

“Energizing Our Future: Insights from Our New-Gen Engineers”

Tuesday, 26 March, 8:30am-1pm

The drilling industry has been breaking technical limits since its inception….it is what we do! And it is the drilling engineers that is often leading from the front. Challenges we are faced with and methods we adopt to overcome them vary depending on the projects we are working, experiences and how one chooses to participate.

This session, through a series of mixed panels, is designed to hear the technical challenges faced by early career engineers working in a range of field development roles, from deepwater exploration to unconventional land.  Those working on projects, representing operators, drilling contractors and service providers, will speak to their daily successes and daily challenges. Sharing these lessons, the audience will gain appreciation for the opportunities to advance the industry and insights on how to strengthen our future discipline from our panelists.

The event will be held in person at Wild Well Control 2022 Oil Center Ct, Houston, TX 77073.  An online option via Zoom will be offered for those who can’t attend in person. Register on the IADC website for either in-person or online attendance. A light lunch will be provided for in-person attendees at the conclusion of the event.
