Abstracts invited for 12 September IADC DEC Tech Forum, “Digital Drilling Engineering”

The IADC Drilling Engineers Committee (DEC) is calling for abstracts for its Q3 Tech Forum, “Digital Drilling Engineering.” Abstracts are invited to present on new technologies being employed at the rig site to:

  • Digitize the execution of the well plan- specific steps to drill the well with 24-, 48-,72-hour outlook
  • Enhance communication and coordination among multiple third-party stakeholders
  • Implement digital solutions to optimize drilling efficiency and minimize overall well costs

Please only submit abstracts for technology that has been fully deployed or prototyped on live wells.

General Committee meetings are open to participants from all categories of IADC membership. The Chairman may invite non-members to attend when it furthers the interests of the Committee. At the discretion of the Chairman and IADC staff, the meeting or portions of the meeting may be exclusively reserved for drilling contractor members. Meetings will be held at such times and locations as may be selected by the Chairman with the advice of the Committee. For any questions, please contact the IADC Committee Coordinator. IADC Technical Committee meetings are not open to the Press.
